Three formats

A full café is not the only answer.

The right format depends on the site. Start with demand and space; then design the operation around them.

Full Café / Outlet

A permanent branded food-and-beverage destination suited to larger campuses and higher daily demand.

Discuss full café

Compact Café / Kiosk

A smaller footprint focused on beverages, bakery, snacks and grab-and-go formats.

Discuss kiosk

Managed Food Counter

A practical managed service for sites that need regular food without a complete café build.

The Baked at LVPEI, Kondapur.

This is the proof point for the entire workplace-outlet proposition: The Baked operating inside an institutional environment, serving a real daily audience rather than presenting a hypothetical concept.

What the case study should demonstrate

The final published version should explain the outlet format, who it serves, the broad menu mix, operating rhythm and how The Baked adapts hospitality to an institutional setting. The purpose is not to overstate numbers; it is to show that the operating model is real.

VERIFY BEFORE PUBLISHING:
• official name to use for the institution/location
• opening/commencement date
• exact format and approximate footprint, if publishable
• operating hours
• menu categories actually served
• approved photographs and logo/name usage
• any daily transaction, footfall or satisfaction numbers
• any testimonial or quotation

Site assessment

Can The Baked work here?

Before proposing a concept, qualify the site. These six inputs are more useful than asking the company what size café it wants.

Population

Employees, patients, students, visitors, contractors or a mixed audience.

Footfall

Likely daily demand and peak periods, not merely total campus population.

Space

Available area, access, utilities, ventilation, storage and possible seating.

Dayparts

Breakfast, lunch, evening, night shift or all-day demand.

Current service

Existing cafeteria, pantry, vending, caterer or no organised option.

Menu need

Beverages, bakery, snacks, meals, grab-and-go or a broader mix.

From site to opening

Treat it as a managed hospitality project.

Discovery comes first. The Baked then evaluates the site and demand, proposes the format and menu direction, aligns the commercial model, plans mobilisation and opens only after the operating requirements are clear.

01 · Discovery

Population, site, current service and objectives.

02 · Assessment

Space, utilities, access, footfall and operating window.

03 · Proposal

Format, menu scope, operating model and commercials.

04 · Mobilisation

Design, equipment, staffing, supply and launch planning.

Why organisations consider it

A food outlet can become workplace infrastructure.

For the organisation, the value is convenience, predictable service and one accountable operator. For employees and visitors, the value is simply having a dependable place to eat or pick something up without leaving the campus.

Convenience

A daily food destination inside the site.

Consistency

An operation designed for repeat service rather than occasional delivery.

Adaptability

Format and menu can respond to the site instead of copying a street café.

Outlet enquiry

Tell us about the workplace.

Recommended form fields: organisation, location, campus type, total population, expected daily footfall, available area in sq ft, utilities available, operating hours, current food service, requirement, photos/floorplan upload and decision-maker contact.

Use a separate CRM/lead tag for Workplace Outlet opportunities. These are long-cycle business-development leads and should not be mixed into ordinary catering enquiries.

FAQ

Workplace outlet questions.

What is The Baked at Your Workplace?

It is The Baked's on-site food-service proposition for organisations that need a permanent operation rather than only deliveries. Depending on the site, the format can be a full café, compact kiosk or managed food counter.

What kind of workplace is suitable for an on-site outlet?

Suitability depends on daily population, visitor mix, expected footfall, available space, utilities, access, operating hours and the existing food-service arrangement.

Do we need space for a full café?

No. A full café is only one format. Smaller workplaces may suit a compact kiosk or managed food counter, subject to site assessment.

How is the commercial model decided?

The commercial structure should be evaluated after the site, audience, space, expected demand, menu scope and operating requirements are understood.

Can you customise the menu for our campus?

The menu can be evaluated around the site and audience, including the need for beverages, bakery, snacks, breakfast, meals or grab-and-go food. The final menu must also be operationally practical for the format.

Do you already operate an institutional outlet?

The page uses The Baked's LVPEI Kondapur operation as the principal case study. Before publication, the case-study facts, imagery and any performance figures should be verified and approved.
